Asmedia Usb Host Controller Driver Vr Software
Sep 20, 2017 - If you're currently plugged into a USB 2.0, try a USB 3.0 and vice versa. Using your Oculus Rift with Steam VR is usually a painless. Find the ASMedia USB 3 driver and uninstall it; Restart your PC and enter your BIOS. The problem is I read a post here about updating USB 3.0 asmedia driver via microsoft. I have a disc that came with the MB that has Asmedia 104x host controller driver. But there is no host USB 3.0 controller showing in device manager, does that mean I should install the microsoft one as well.
Asmedia Usb Extended Host Controller Driver
How do i fix the 'asmedia 3.0 extensible host controller' issue?
EDIT: I just use my usb 2.0 and its fine, if the usb 3 drivers are not disabled it will show up as a compatibility issue but will still function regardless. For piece of mind diable the usb 3 drivers and run the VR compat test and this will give you the green light though you only have USB 3.
This issue might already be solved somewhere but i cant seem to find any information about it anywhere. Im waiting to buy an Oculus CV1 this week but concerned about this message i keep getting when i run the Rift test. I have updated all drivers and still get the message.
Has anyone managed to fix the issue? Is it a non issue? Will my other USB ports suffice?
Im not too tech savvy (though i did build the pc myself) so im not sure if it is effecting all USB ports or just a few. Help/input would be greatly appreciated before I dump a truck load of cash on something I cant even use.
Kind regards,
