Twenty One Pilots is the self-titled debut studio album by American band Twenty One Pilots, released independently on December 29, 2009. The album sold 115,000 copies[1] and peaked at number 139 on the U.S. Billboard 200.[2] It is the only album to feature bassist Nick Thomas and drummer Chris Salih before they both left the band in 2011.[3][4][5]
Background[edit]
Sometime after the release of the record, it was revealed that the album was conceptualized and recorded within the homemade recording studio in the basement of the house that Tyler Joseph, Nick Thomas, Chris Salih, and Thomas's brother were staying in at the time. Additionally, while input was provided from the other members of the band, the lyrics were mainly written by Joseph.[6]
The album cover was designed by John Rettstatt, a friend of Joseph.[7]
Reception[edit]
Maria Sherman of Fuse praised Joseph's 'speak-singing' and 'beautiful piano arrangements' on the album, though criticized his enunciation while rapping.[8]Alternative Press described 'Addict with a Pen' as 'slow, spare, and nakedly honest' and 'the best representation of what initially drew fans to the band'.[9]

Twenty One Pilots Trench Album Download – Trench is the highly anticipated fifth album by musical duo Twenty One Pilots, expected to officially release October 5, 2018. The album leaked in full three days before this release date, on October 2, 2018, however. In the album, Twenty One Pilots revisits the subject of mental illness in the form of an allegory. The album was first formally announced on July 11, 2018 with the release of the singles “Jumpsuit” and “Nico And The Niners.”
The album was teased weeks in advance through updates to a cryptic website called “dmaorg.” On August 7, 2018, the song “Levitate” was seemingly accidently released early on Tidal, along with the complete tracklist for the album. The single and tracklist were then officially released the next morning.
